Art Basel’s Unlimited
Henry Taylor’s monumental mixed-media work ‘Untitled’ (2022) pays homage to the Black Panther Party and to his brother, Randy. The work was previously exhibited in his museum solo show ‘Henry Taylor: B Side’ at MOCA Los Angeles (2022) and the Whitney Museum in New York (2023). Jenny Holzer’s ‘Survival’ (1989) is presented in tandem with her solo show ‘Jenny Holzer: Light Line’ at the Guggenheim Museum, New York, where the work originally debuted in the artist’s 1989 retrospective. Zoe Leonard’s 40-part photographic work ‘Prologue’ (2017/2022) is drawn from the artist’s epic work ‘Al río/To the River’ (2016 – 2022).

20th-century master works
Standout paintings include Francis Picabia’s ‘Nu assis (Seated Nude)’ (ca. 1942), Philip Guston’s ‘Orders’ (1978), coinciding with the artist’s solo show at Hauser & Wirth in Zurich, Arshile Gorky’s ‘Gray Drawing (Pastoral)’ (ca. 1946 – 1947), alongside major works by Bruce Nauman, Georgia O’Keeffe, Maria Lassnig and Agnes Martin. Louise Bourgeois’s ‘Woman with Packages’ (1987 – 1993), a never-before-seen late sculpture, features in addition to 20th-century sculptures by Alexander Calder, David Smith, sculptural lamps by Alina Szapocznikow, and a biomorphic bronze work by Hans Arp.

Direct from the studio and contemporary showstoppers
A new painting by Mark Bradford, ‘Pink Pearl,’ (2024) is unveiled alongside ‘Soul Painting “Raise It Up”’ (2024) from Rashid Johnson’s new series, a pastel on linen by Nicolas Party, a new sculpture by William Kentridge and ‘Fast and Loose’ (2024) by Flora Yukhnovich. Amy Sherald’s powerful single-figure portrait ‘Varsity Girl’ (2016), Roni Horn’s cast-glass sculpture, complementing her current exhibition at Hauser & Wirth Menorca, and George Condo’s ‘Pink Sculpture Head’ (2017) are on view.
